The aim of this guide is to inform and educate you on how to research the Edward Waters University Special Collections and Archives. The library houses special collections, digital sources, vertical file clippings and institution produced publications.
The archives began when the African Methodist Episcopal Church established the institution in 1866. In many ways, the institutions overlap in sources. The archival collection began taking shape in the 1950's when the library was housed in the Tookes Building.
